BARBERA D'ASTI DOC SUPERIOR

produced from Barbera grape, it has an intense ruby-red color when it is young, a tint that turns to garnet with age; vinous odor and a flavour that is dry to the palate although it is sometimes slightly sweetish, offering a balanced body and a pleasant, full flavour after some aging. Consume with most foods. Required aging: one year.

Variety of grapes: Barbera 100%.
Alcoholic Strength: 12,5 grades.
Vinification Technique:  Slow on-skin maceration, fermentation under constant temperature control.
Palet characteristics: 

Deep ruby red colour with a fine long lasting aroma of wild cherries, flowers and berry fruit. An elegant dry flavour/taste.

Longevity:

More than five years if kept under good conditions.

Serving Instructions:  Best between 16/18 C, depending on age.
Recommended with: A wine to be drunk throughout the meal; if older accompanies better red meats and well matured cheeses.
