Alteserre, a "Super bianco" from Piedmont
White Italian style

By taking white grapes from the Monferrato region grown in the best places, on south-facing sites in low Guyot-trained vineyards, and by using all the care and attention traditionally reserved only to the best red wines, we have given Alteserre the characteristics of a world class white wine. Well-balanced, assured and elegant, Alteserre matches many of the dishes of haute-cuisine perfectly. Alteserre is a serious Piedmontese white wine with depth, personality and, above all, the good ageing potential of a fine wine.

Grapes: Altesserre takes advantage of grapes from our home territory, the Monferrato, using Chardonnay blended with local white grapes.

Vinification: the grapes are fermented separately at controlled temperatures, part in new oak barrel and part in stainless steel tanks, some macerated on-skin, some off-skin. Maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks and in oak on the lees for the percentage of wine that undergoes fermentation in barrique. Bottle ageing continues until the following summer.
