STRADIVARIO D.O.C.

A wine of great distinction and character whose taste, matured and refined in French Allier oak, can only be expressed by the sound of the most famous of all violins, where the wood and the maker become one in their perfect harmony. Produced from Barbera grapes from the traditional vineyards of the Bava family.

Recommended Sound:

Molto adagio (Very slowly)

(Samuel Barber - Adagio for strings - Op.11)

Grapes: 100% Barbera.
Region: Vigneto Gura in the village of Cocconato d’Asti.
Vinification: after a long staying on its skins it is fermented at controlled temperature. Bottled unfiltered.
Ageing: 1 year in French barrique and 1 year in bottle.
Characteristics: the wine is youthful in colour with a deep concentrated bowl. It reveals toasty new oak in its nose intertwined with ripe black-cherry and spicy fruit. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated with noticeable glycerine and fleshiness.
Longevity: Firm acidity suggests that it will develop well. The wine is still very young and a touch on the tannic side; definitely one to set aside in a quiet place for several years to let all the luscious flavours knit together.
Recommended with: all important and rich recipes of red meats, game, seasoned cheese...
Recommended music: "Adagio for strings" of Samuel Barber; anyway a "Largo".
