On the occasion of GERMINALE – Monferrato Art Fest, the hills of the Lower Monferrato will be transformed into an open-air museum, where contemporary art, history, tradition, and natural beauty come together in a sensory journey to discover the territory.

Now in its second edition, the festival will take place from September 11 to October 12, 2025.

Bava Winery will be one of the venues of this widespread exhibition, which promotes contemporary art and culture while enhancing the unique landscape and heritage of Monferrato.

The exhibition at Bava Winery will open on September 14 at 4:30 PM, featuring works by Pedro Pires (Border Series 136 3-4, metal sculpture) and Federico Borroni (Somma 1, 2, 3 – oil on canvas – as well as works 4, 5, 6). The pieces will be displayed in the winery’s historic cellar and gardens.

All festival venues have been selected for their strong connection with local history, architecture, and tradition.

“Deconsecrated churches, castles, buildings of historical and architectural value, and spaces rich in symbolic meaning,” explain the organizers, “are the perfect settings for contemporary art, fostering awareness, protection, and appreciation of these works.”

More than 20 municipalities across the provinces of Asti and Alessandria are involved in this artistic itinerary, turning each village into both a cultural stop and an opportunity for participation and shared experience.
