This precious underground treasure, long a symbol of gastronomic excellence in Monferrato and the Langhe, draws enthusiasts and curious travellers from across Italy and the world, eager to immerse themselves in the unique aromas and flavours of these lands.

The 2025 Alba white truffle season begins
In the Langhe and Monferrato, truffle events and fairs, led by the International Alba White Truffle Fair, become the perfect excuse to enjoy the beauty of the area, dive into its traditions, and explore the tastes and scents of local food and wine.
The 2025 Alba International White Truffle Fair
One of the season’s most anticipated events is the 2025 International Alba White Truffle Fair, now in its 95th edition, with programming from 11 October to 8 December.
Every Saturday and Sunday in Alba, throughout the fair, the world truffle market takes place—where you can buy the prized Alba white truffle, with support and oversight from the Quality Commission.
Between dinners, cooking shows, cookery courses, markets, and food-and-wine and cultural events, the truffle is the undisputed star of countless dates that animate the town and the surrounding countryside.

Beyond Alba: fairs scheduled in Monferrato
Alongside the Alba fair, many other events dedicated to the Fine White Truffle are planned in Monferrato’s villages.
Moncalvo Truffle Fair 2025
A triple date for the Moncalvo Truffle Fair: Sunday 19, Saturday 25, and Sunday 26 October. The 2025 edition marks the 71st anniversary of the event, where the long-standing highlights are the Truffle Market with typical food-and-wine products and the awarding of the Città di Moncalvo “Tartufo d’Oro” Trophy and the “Zappino d’Argento” to the finest specimens.
During the fair days, expect cooking shows, special openings of cultural sites and architectural gems, performances, and guided walks through the hills.
National White Truffle Fair of Monferrato 2025, Montechiaro d’Asti and San Damiano d’Asti
From 2 to 3 November, San Damiano d’Asti hosts the National Truffle Fair (Sunday) and the traditional Fiera dei Santi (Sunday and Monday morning). On Monday morning, as per tradition, there will be an agricultural machinery display, a general market, and an exhibition of truffles and typical local products.
The 37th edition of the National White Truffle Fair of Monferrato in Montechiaro d’Asti will take place from 8 to 9 November, with the white truffle market exhibition alongside gastronomic events and tastings, where Tuber Magnatum Pico takes centre stage.
International Truffle Fair – “Trifola d’Or” – Murisengo 2025
On Sundays 16 and 23 November, it’s Murisengo’s turn with the International Truffle Fair “Trifola d’Or”, now in its 58th edition. The fair features the traditional market exhibition of white and black truffles, joined by many other exhibitors of local food-and-wine specialities.
Across both days, there will be activities for adults and children, including workshops, talks, and excursions in truffle country.
National Truffle Fair 2025, Asti
Over the weekend of 15–16 November 2025, Asti, the “city of a hundred towers”, hosts its National Truffle Fair, traditionally dedicated to Tuber Magnatum Pico. Expect tastings of local gastronomic excellences, truffles and wines from the area, as well as cookery workshops, guided tastings, and cultural events.
